ROTARY CLUB OF PROSPER- Christmas Parade

Saturday, December 6th, 2014

On behalf of the Rotary Club of Prosper, we would like to formally invite you to submit your entry for our Christmas Parade. Prosper is "a place where everyone matters..." We hope that you enjoy your experience, and will plan to make this an annual event! The parade will be held on Saturday, December 6th, 2014 and will start promptly at 2:30 pm. Parade line up will start at 1:00 pm. at the PISD Rucker Elementary parking lot. This year’s theme is “Centennial Christmas” and judging will be based on many factors including theme, decoration, costumes and enthusiasm.

1st Prize $300.00
2nd Prize $100.00

In order to avoid confusion, Rotary reserves the right to have the ONLY Santa Claus in the Christmas Parade. All entries must maintain a forward motion on the parade route at all times.

Entry Fee: $35.00
Late Entry Fee: $50.00 after November 21st

Entrants Arrival: Entrants will gather at the Rucker Elementary parking lot. There you will find our parade organizer with a listing of all participants, check in and you will receive your number and place in the parade. Please follow their instructions. The lineup for the parade will start at Craig Road and Broadway lining up south toward Preston. You will need to enter from Preston turning onto Craig Road by Rucker Elementary to enter the lineup. First and Broadway will be blocked off at Preston to through traffic. Lineup will start at 1:00 pm and the parade will start promptly at 2:30pm.

Event Parking: Parking at the parade assembly area is not permitted. This area must be kept available for the actual parade participants. You are encouraged to drop off your riders at the PISD Rucker Elementary parking lot location, and then park your vehicle at Reynolds Middle School, located at 700 N. Coleman Road. Buses will shuttle between the Reynolds and downtown for attendees. If you have any sort of parade-related vehicles (i.e. horse trailers, band wagon, etc.), please use the Rucker Elementary Northwest parking lot.

Club Membership

We are always looking for new members to join us. The Prosper Rotary Club is a local community service organization, which focuses on fellowship, fun, and improving the lives of Prosper residents. The Club meets the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Wednesday morning of the month from 7:30 - 8:30 AM at the Lighthouse Christian Church Fellowship Hall (4331 W Prosper Trail, Prosper, TX 75078). The 3rd Wednesday meeting time is 6:30 - 8:00 PM at the same location. Meetings include an entertaining and informative guest speaker and local visitors. All who are interested in getting involved and supporting our community are warmly welcomed to attend. Come join us!
