GUESTS
We had all sorts of guest join us to celebrate Veterans Day: First and foremost, we had several Veterans of our US Armed Forces, Prosper Town Mayor, Prosper Town Manager, Prosper Police Chief, Fire & Rescue Chief, Prosper Firefighters/Paramedics, Prosper High School Performing Chorus, a representative from Texas Representative Matt Shaheen’s office, and many other friends and guests.
 
TODAY’S SPEAKERS
A traveling choir from Prosper High Scholl started today’s activities by performing several songs honoring America and our Veteran Guests.
 
Our own Joey Womble gave the audience a brief and entertaining history of the Rotary Club: both international and Prosper local. He went on to speak about our upcoming event celebrating our local 15-year anniversary. See below for more details.
 
Amy Ratliff from Matt Shaheen’s office presented a proclamation from the Texas House of Representatives to attending World War II veteran Johnnie Rothfus. Look at the photos to see and read the proclamation.
 
Prosper Town Mayor David Bristol spoke to the gathering regarding his service in the Air Force as well as honoring all Veterans in the room.
